Garinger Education Foundation Wildcat Scholarships

The Garinger Education Foundation provides 5 Wildcat scholarships of $1000 a year for up to 4 years for a total of $4000 per recipient. The number of scholarships depends on available funds. The Scholarship Committee selects recipients from a group of applications. Strong consideration is given to faculty recommendation, GPA, class rank, essay, financial need, a letter of acceptance to a post- secondary institution. The scholarship is awarded at the Honors and Awards program. Support for years 2, 3, 4 is based on student performance and GEF funds.

Garinger Education Foundation for CPCC

The Garinger Education Foundation offers Garinger graduates attending CPCC an award of $500 ($250 from Central High Endowment) at the completion of 6 credit hours with a 2.5 GPA. Additional awards may be offered at completion of specific number of hours and maintenance of a specified GPA. Each of these students is offered a reconditioned laptop computer if they indicate their need. Your donation can be restricted to fund these scholarships if you will so indicate.

Garinger Education Foundation Memorial Scholarship

The Garinger Education Foundation provides the opportunity to honor people who have died with a scholarship given in their name. The Scholarship Committee selects the appropriate student from the group of applications they receive. Strong consideration is given to GPA, class rank, college letter of acceptance, essay and financial need. The donor is then notified and invited to attend Honors and Awards to meet the student. At present these scholarships are for $2000 ($1000 per semester) each year. Renewal for other years is based on hours taken and GPA maintained.
